Are the teams made up of boys and girls in all divisions?

Yes.


Will my son/daughter have equal playing time and participation time even if they are not the best players?

Our league has an equal play rule. All players get equal court time regardless of skill level.


Will the league reimburse me if my son/daughter is injured and can not play out the season?

If requested, we will reimburse registration fees on a pro rated basis less an administration fee.


Are the coaches qualified for the sport?

All coaches are volunteers and WOMBA provides training to all coaches. Coaches are also monitored to ensure quality coaching is provided.


Are the executive readily available to talk to for information pertaining to the league during playing time?

WOMBA attempts to always have an executive member present at alll playing locations during scheduled games.


Are coaches equipped with first aid kits in case of injury?

Each playing location is equipped with first aid kits as well as ice packs in case of injury.


Does the playing fee cover cost of insurance for injury and where can this information be obtained?

Registration fees cover the cost of insurance. All insurance is purchased through the Ontario Basketball Association and information regarding insurance can be found on their website.


What equipment is my son/daughter required to supply?

Players should come with non marking court shoes similar to what is required by schools. It is also recommended that players wear athletic shorts while playing. WOMBA provides team shirts for each player.


Are the coaches required to have police checks?

All coaches are required to have police checks performed every year.


Are OBA rep players allowed in the house league program?

Yes. OBA rep players are allowed to play in our league.


Are practice sessions apart from playing sessions covered in the fees?

Yes.
